Another wonderful day in the big city with my big sis and her awesome fiance. Tomorrow gay couples in New York are finally able to get marriage licenses!!! I am very excited, and we might pop down to the court house to support. This is a long time coming and hopefully all states will continue to fall in a "straight" line.

New York, New York! I love my sister and I love New York, even in this crazy heat; it'll be 100 tomorrow. Today, I tried on bridesmaid / maid of honor dresses (and I found one), but I am not a size 12. I barely sausaged my way into a size 14. I have a long way to go.

After a difficult day yesterday, my night was filled with sleep depriving excitement - TODAY I fly to New York to visit my sister!! I will help with some final aspects of her upcoming wedding and will hunt for a maid of honor dress for me. I feel good about this search. I've noticed a change in my body (hopefully so will my sister), and I think more dress options will be available to me. Maybe now I'm a solid size 12?
Also, we get to "make fun of," I mean "watch," So You Think You Can Dance together. For reals, I am getting a bit annoyed by the over praising this season. Anyhoo, brown rice and New York, HERE I COME!

NOTHING is coming up Milhouse today. It's hot as blazes, my printer refuses to align correctly, my cat thinks he's people and walked out the front door with me, the sound on my laptop is in and out, and my Facebook page is in Portuguese. This heat and this diet are unforgiving. I just want to paint my face with ice cream and nap in a bowl of fudge.
Note: I skipped ahead a few hours and ate cooked veggies for dinner, even though I was supposed to start that tomorrow. It's a sad day when you eat cooked veggies and its considered a cheat on your diet. Brown rice starts tomorrow.

I have been 173 lbs for 44% of my diet. The new scale and the old scale are in cahoots, but I refuse to accept 173 as my destiny. It's not like I'm trying to achieve some nonsense goal, like a size 2; I just want to be in a healthy weight range for a change (see chart).
I have been 173 lbs for 44% of my diet. The new scale and the old scale are in cahoots, but I refuse to accept 173 as my destiny. It's not like I'm trying to achieve some nonsense goal, like a size 2; I just want to be in a healthy weight range for a change (see chart).
As a 5'4" female, my range is 108 - 132 lbs, but alls I wants is to knock on the skinny girls' door at 140 lbs. The suggested ideal weight range varies slightly among various resources; here's another one to try out.
I shouldn't be complaining - I lost 4 lbs this week! Its just that the number 173 needs to be stapled to a dart board and repeatedly shot with asparagus spears (or Britney Spears for that matter, whichever is more painful for an inanimate object. Probably the Britney).
