WEEK 6 - ATKINS PHASE 2, OWL
173 lbs
DAY 42
Sunday, 07.03.2011
Let the fireworks and bad fashion choices begin!
Tomorrow I weigh in and I may have gained again with my recent cheating - bread and flourless chocolate cake. Atkins is not for the weak. My only consolation is that I can't fit that travesty to the right.
Happy Day Before 4th of July!

So oppressively hot today. We are doing a slow move to the new apartment (over the moth of July, and today (in the heat) was rough. Only 2 car loads, and I think my husband and I were about to go on a crime spree.

DAY 39
Thursday, 06.30.2011
My exercise today was walking to pick up my new glasses (woo hoo!) and then later, in a box-sized dressing room, doing a strongman / contortionist act of forcefully twisting my way out of a dress mislabeled as "Large" (wah wah). For a good 15 minutes there, I thought I was going to have to buy the dress and wear it out, but I couldn't fully get it on either. Work. Out. I think the perspiration helped.
Later, the dress sales lady complimented my new glasses. I was well aware that she was picking out one item to compliment each person in the store as a sales technique, but she was unaware that I will run a compliment conversation to the ground. I told her where and when I got the glasses, how much I paid, and the best route to take from the clothing store so that she could get a pair. "Oh, and ask for Kipper." The sales lady did not wear glasses.

DAY 38

I watched "Sucker Punch" last night and it is all style, no substance. However, I'm not sure what I've been doing all my life without a platinum wig in pig tails and Snuffaluffagus eyelashes.

Lots going on these days - moving (to a larger apartment), job searching (to pay for the new apartment), cooking, cleaning, and game projects (my own and others I'm freelancing on, emphasis on the "free.") Oh, and I pick up new glasses later this week. Specifically, these:

Might this be the best summer ever? Only a job and additional weight loss will tell. Still, its fun workin' it out (eating butter and watching reality tv).
I appreciate all of the supportive comments about me gaining weight this week. 3 lbs isn't all that bad, and you guys helped me think more about calorie and cheese intake. I will work on that, "ahem* starting tomorrow. My lunch was literally only cheese. Decadence!

DAY 36
Monday, 06.27.2011
Well, it happened. I gained weight: 3 lbs, so my current weight loss is down from 10 lbs to 7 lbs again. Needless to say, I'm blabberstranded. Perhaps my portions are off or it was the overly decadent pots de creme last night (but all the ingredients are ok for Atkins). Its not like I've been eating stone soup (*cough* or exercising *cough*). OK, ok, I need to exercise. hrmph. I started this diet to loose weight, to eat healthy, and to learn some "go to" recipes. Is what I'm eating not healthy, because I'm starting to gain again? Are chicken, almonds, and eggs somehow on par with my previous habits of pizza, Doritos, and nutty bars? I'm even pooing again, but gained. Yep, blabberstranded.

But not giving up. As RuPaul says, "you betta work!"
But on what exactly? What isn't exiting the building?
Recalibration begins.
